Terms of service

The short version: ADHD Bachata is a free tool to help you track your bachata learning. Dance safely and within your limits, treat your dance partners with respect, and please don't copy our checklist to republish it as your own.
About these terms
These terms apply to adhdbachata.com and the checklist app at checklist.adhdbachata.com (together "the service"), run by ADHD Bachata ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Who can use it
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By signing up, you confirm that you are.
Your account
You sign in with your Google account, so please keep that account secure. Your account is for you personally. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so let us know straight away if you think someone else has accessed it.
Dance safely
Dancing is a physical activity, and you take part at your own risk. The checklist is a learning and tracking tool, not a replacement for a qualified teacher. Warm up, practise in a safe space, stop if something hurts, and check with a doctor if you have any health concerns. When you practise with a partner, always communicate and respect their comfort and consent.
Certificates
Certificates are earned by ticking off the skills in a level yourself. They're a fun way to mark your own progress and share it. They are not an official qualification or an assessment by a teacher.
Our content
The checklist, its structure, the descriptions, the ADHD Bachata name and logo, and the design of the service belong to us. You're welcome to use them for your own personal learning and to share screenshots or certificates on social media. Please don't copy, republish, or sell the checklist or its content, or use it to build a competing product, without our written permission.
Fair use
Please don't misuse the service. For example, don't try to access other people's accounts, interfere with how the service works, scrape it in bulk, or use it for anything illegal. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Availability and changes
The service is currently free. We're a small project, so we may change features, add new ones, or pause or end the service, and we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. If we ever plan to close the service, we'll try to give account holders reasonable notice so you can request a copy of your progress.
Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses, or for injuries or damage arising from dance practice, which you undertake at your own risk. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Ending your account
You can stop using the service at any time. To delete your account and your data, email hello@adhdbachata.com. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
Your legal rights
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the law where you live. If you live in the EU, you keep the full protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country.
Changes to these terms
If we update these terms, we'll change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let account holders know. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
